The Pulse Fitness Centre is one of the largest university fitness centres in Canada with over 20,000 square feet of active space.

Highlights:

The David Braley Athletic Centre also features an indoor track, climbing wall, swimming pool, sport gyms and more!


Strength Training:

Over 7,000 square feet of resistance training equipment from Hammer Strength and Atlantis Fitness:

  • Single-station machines for every muscle
  • Free Weights: Dumbells from 5 to 130 lbs.
  • Olympic/Power lifting platforms
  • Universal cable machines
  • Accessible multi-station for special needs



Cardio Equipment:

Over 4,000 Square feet of cardio equipment from Concept 2, Stairmaster, Life Fitness, Woodway and Precor.

  • Treadmills
  • Eliptical trainers
  • Stationary bikes
  • Stair climbers
  • Arc trainers
  • Rowing ergometers

The Cardio Gallery includes an installed sound system and Televisions with FM Transmitters.





Fitness/Aerobics Studio:

Over 2,000 square feet complete with wood floor, mirrors, and floor to ceiling glass on two sides.

Hosting group fitness classes and open-use time, the studio is partnered with all the equipment - BOSU balls, steps, jump-ropes and more - to keep you going.

Cycling Studio:

The cycling studio features Lemond Group Cycling Bikes that provide a true "road bike" experience.

Cycle class participants must purchase a $5 / term cycling class membership in addition to their Pulse membership.



Accessible Special Needs Equipment

The entire fitness centre has been laid out to maximize accessibility of equipment for people of all physical abilities.

In addition, the Pulse features a dedicated special needs, multi-station universal weight training machine and upper-body ergometer. Combined with the Pulse's Special Needs Assistance Program users can workout safely and effectively.


Ab-Town:

A dedicated space to bring your core to life, featuring:

  • Training mats
  • Medicine balls
  • Abdominal resistance machines
  • BOSU balls


Circuit City:

An area where circuit training takes top priority. Featuring strength training machines, cardio equipment and a circuit training "stop and go" light, users can get a full body workout in less than 30 minutes.
